You are trying to make a proportional increase in resistance, hopefully to correct a marginal isssue, the true nature of which has not been determined....so if you need more than 1k at the sort of temps at this time of year, you have a BIG problem that needs to be identified, rather than a sticking plaster one.

Have you measured your temp 2 at 20degC and 80deg C ? The idea of the pot is that your are adding its resistance to the resistance of the Temp 2 sensor, not substituting for the whole Temp 2 sensor.

BTW on your very comprehensive list of things you have attended to, I see no note of having the injectors flow tested ? As the problem appears to be some kind of lean out when engine half warm, then poor injector flow might be a factor.

On the L-Jet car I had, I adjusted the spring tension in the barn door AFM which gave a better transient enrichment.....with good results YMMV

I have scanned the two most relevant pages on L-Jet for you, and sent them to the maill address in your sig at the bottom of your posts.

Well, I replaced the brain, the time-temperature sensor, and the coil and it did no good, but I have a lot of future maintenance done.

I just pulled the injectors and am sending them "Cruzin" for cleaning and testing and found one of them has a cracked housing around the injector needle. I can rotate it with my fingers. Maybe, just maybe I've found the problem. It just seems strange that this would have an effect only when starting and it runs fine afterward.

I will know better in a week, but for now, I'm just keeping everything I have crossed.

I now have speedometer and odometer problems and since I've checked everything else, I'm sending that off while I can't drive it to have it fixed as well.

I'm really going to have a nice car when I'm done.

Where do I make an offering?

Rod
