Help Electrical Issues (all warning lights on - RV) Replaced switch - no change
Help
Update, repalced ignition electrical part and no change, anyone have any ideas?
Every possible warning and indicator light is illuminted !
I killed the engine and restarted to move car closer into garage and noticed all my lights reamained illuminated. I pressd the ! button and no change.
Left the car and returned several days later and no change. I just disconnected the battery strap moments ago and decided to seek help here. I'm mystified.

Does the car start and run normally? If so, you may have a lightbult out - the one for the voltage meter. Try revving the engine up to 2k rpm and see if the lights go out.

Hi the ignition switch has 2 parts the key part and the electric part , the elex part is held onto the key part by 2 screws but you have to remove the pod to get to the top screw, make sure the battery is disconnected while working on the pod /ignition switch

I thought of ignition switch. What is the check out procedure?
Would I need to rekey, replacing switch?

Hi there. Your symptoms are almost definitely the electrical part of the ignition switch as identified by Randy V. Simple job and not too expensive either.....I did mine without removal of the pod.
No need to re-key as you only need to replace the electrical part of the mechanism.

Mike,
IIRC the electrical part of the ignition switch can be removed by pulling the small plastic panel under the pod. You will see the back of the switch. Pull the ignition harness plug. There are two slotted screws, one at 12, one at 6 o'clock, which hold the electrical part of the switch in place. You will need a limited access screwdriver device to get these especially the top one. I used a screwdriver tip from a power driver set and a box wrench to fashion a right angle screwdriver. You will have to go by feel or use an inspection mirror to deal with the top screw. Practice by doing the bottom one first. Don't drop these screws (if you lose one the replace the top one, since the bottom will be easier to get later, yeah, I know.)
Good luck

Do a search under user name Shocki and see his writeup for the removal of the pod.
