Default Tilt adjustment on pod

It seems that the tilt adjustment on my pod is getting loose. Anytime I put any downward pressure on the steering wheel, the pod clicks down a notch or two. Can the mechanism be tightened?

I had a similar problem, the adjustment handle would not stay in the "locked" position. As I drove it would work itself loose and then the pod would start to move with any pressure. It's a fairly simple operation, it's just a majot PIA to get at. My problem was the spring that keeps tension of the adjustment bar/handle somehow came loose. To get at the spring you must remove the plastic cover under the steering column. Only was to get that off is to remove the steering wheel. Once it was all apart and easier to get at, I bent the spring a little more to get some extra tension and popped it back in place. Took about an hour to get to the stupid thing and about 5 seconds to fix it. Good luck.

ps. disconnect battery before steering wheel removal if you have an airbag!!!!!

Thanks for the advice. Hopefully I will find some time this weekend to look at this.

Mine fell apart in December. I still haven't fixed it. This was a point O forgot to tell Tony when we swapped positions at SITM... He started really pushing the car when the steering wheel started to move up! His face was like, Woops. Sorry Tony, forgot about that.

For a temporary fix, I wedged my wife's wallet between the knee bolster and the steering column. It was a perfect fit and also kept her from spending any more money .
