Racing Seat questions

I have two kevlar racing seats that have been sitting in my garage for about 5 years. They were used for a couple of years prior to this in a backup track car then stored. The garage has climate control, no UV exposure, no stored gasoline/VOC. Would it be wise to reinstall them again in a street/DE car I'm building? I do have a little backround in racing and was always told the reason for a shelf life was because of the catalyzed process in Kevlar/carbon fiber continue to harden to the point of being brittle. Any comments on this one? Any horror stories about out of date seats?

Probably just fine since away from UV & Vapors. POC rules & such may require "fresher" seats, but not for DE or such. I have '05 Momo's in my 928: love them, lost about 100# in the process too.

hey mark, any idea how the momos compare to recaro pole positions??? I've been having a tough time find out how much they weigh... does seem like an easy way to shed some weight and improve driver stability.
