I have a local 928 owner that replaced the original '83 US cams with a set of Euro cams. The power band moved up by about 1000prm. He's comments were that the car lost a little bit of power at the bottom end and made that much more at the top end. So essentially everything got shifted up by 1000rpms. I would only change the cams if the originals got damaged (broke or cracked) and replacing them is a must. Otherwise the cost over benefit is not very much.
