I have used an easy out many times successfully....however, all instances were pertaining to a bolt being sheared off leaving only the stub sticking out. The bolt was not "seized". This is what easy-out are supposed to be used for i think, not for bolts that are broken from excessive torque during removal because the threads were seized.

Yes its a 10mm head bolt (at least the original one was)..the new bolt is a touch bigger SAE with coarser threads....I will try the inserts if this bolt doesn't hold.....I really haven't driven the car since I tapped new threads.....a couple spirited drives should test its clamping ability.....

As far as the treads of the bolt go, was probably a 6mm bolt with a 1.5mm tread pitch.

Since you tapped a new tread and using a new bolt, I don't think there will be a need to any furhter repairs. I'm confident it will hold. The dust shield is light and there aren't any real forces acting on that bolt.

I was thinking the same thing.....the only real force on that bolt (other than vibration) is the slight bowing of the dust cover (not enough to hit the rotor)...maybe 1/2 inch....but you could easily press it back into place with a finger....plus you can see the locktite in the picture...I put a bunch on there and was careful not to over-torque the new bolt and strip it!!
