Default s4 brake question

with the adapters out there for my car, i know i can bolt on S4 calipers and rotors (or GTS). Question is what else are the s4 calipers used on? Obviously i can't find too many S4 sets on ebay, but there are plenty of various year carreras on there....

The 944 S2's have the same front and rear calipers. The 944 S2 calipers are the same or very similar to the 928 S4 rear calipers. I beleive the same is true for the 968 calipers. I've not seen other Porsche cars that use the 928 S4 front calipers. I'm sure someone will chime in with the real answer.

If the calipers are truly off of a 993 then some modifications need to be made prior to installing on a 928. The 993 has calipers mounted in front of the front axle (928 is behind the front axle). You will have to swap the bleeder screws with the cross over tubes on both front 993 calipers in order for it to work on a 928.

Zoltan,

check out www.928Motorsports.com Carl sells used S4 calipers for front and rear with adapter brackets.
The rear kit is a bargain at ~$350.00.
