Yellow works for me, but for a red car, I'd go black with red lettering.

I like the Carrera 4 silver, but just did my S4 calipers in Red to strike up my black-centered wheels: will take a pic this weekend. I didn't want too much alternating silver/black as my entire interior is that way.

Try black enamel over the whole caliper then sand back the enamel over the raised lettering only. Use finer paper until you get a perfectly smoooth shiny look. Finish off with 2 coats of heat resistant clear lacquer to prevent the exposed ally oxidising. The black and natural ally finish of PORSCHE lettering look great. Sorry no pics - sold my S4 last year but new owner loved the calipers!
Alternatively go GTS - black with white lettering (though this can be tricky to get perfect with the raised S4 type lettering).
Reds, yellows etc look like you are trying to hard IMHO. Bit too Rice rocket for me.

I am leaning towards either Black or Silver myself. That, and having the rotor hats painted the medium gray.

Thank you for the suggestions.

Rob
I also like the idea of black with red lettering.....but a dark gray with red letters would look good too.....I also need to have my calipers-rotors refinished...since the new wheels show the brakes so much more than the flats did!

I just finished about a month ago painting them red. I like to show off the brakes and the stock black color gets lost in the shadows of the wheel. Sorry I don't have any goos pics of the car since the conversion. I'll take some tomorrow maybe.
