'83 Door Lock motors
I pulled the door panels on my '83 auto to try and repair my central locking system. Suprise suprise, someone needed the lock motors more than me. No motors, No brackets.
Where do I go from here. What recomendations do you guys have or maybe an aftermarket kit that someone has positive experience with.
I don't know if any of the central locking system works and there are alot of cut wires which I would have to repair if I went factory.
I appears to be an electric system not vacuumn, no vac lines going to the doors.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

There are several people parting cars, so maybe the stock parts won't cost to much.
I don't remember selling mine off the tack car, so I'll go look around.
Have you tried contacting 928International?

No direct contact with 928 but they do list them on the site. I haven't even looked to see if the control module is there. Also I have read some threads about how tempermental the system is with regards to the locks being syncronized and how they will sometimes lock and unlock by themselves. That's why I was wondering about an aftermarket system.

simple to install and worked flawlessly.
But this was in cars that didn't have a stock power-lock solution. For a 928 the easiest solution would be to get some OEM locks (although the older model locks can be a PITA and the aftermarket ones may work better).
But if you do go aftermarket I'd be happy to offer any help/advice I can.

I've had very positive experiences with this aftermarket kit:

Sorry this is old - I never saw 6mil's question - but I just got a PM from someone else asking essentially the same thing so I wanted to be clear:
I have only used after-market electric door locks on other cars - not on a 928 - so don't don't know how hard ,or if it is even possible, to use one on a 928. I was only providing the link for a kit for which I'd had a positive experience with.
Good luck.
