I don’t think you can set the cams with his tool. You can make adjustments but to initially set the cams you’ll have to do it the old fashioned way (dial indicator and patience).

 

You can get it close, within a cam degree or two... closer than eyeballing it.

I can't remember if there was a concensus for S4 timing. GT's are (1) cam degree advanced, IIRC.

Next run I'll have to reserve a couple for rentals. All I have now is the original, which the laser cutter/bend shop uses for setup.

 

can anyone take a pic of the woodrof? key position for a 87 s4 of both banks so i can eyeball my cams in relation to the alinement mark on cam backplate? thks
