86.5 Oxygen Sensor
1 wire or 3 wire? I ordered a universal, but it appears that they are only 1 wire. I haven't gotten under the car yet, but did pull one out of an old cat that was supposed to be off an 86.5 and it was a 1 wire.
Who can help?

I think they're all wired for three..big green wire with a fat plug for the O2 sensor and a Mercedes Benz two-wire plug for the heater. You can go without the heater but your car may not run quite right until the sensor heats up. I got a "universal" 3-wire from 928intl. Either way you'll have to cut the existing harness from the existing sensor to plug it into the car.
When I got this car, it didn't have an O2 sensor...so I paid for a used harness...did all that splicing...then got underneath and felt around for the bung, ready to hook 'er up, and there wasn't one on the exhaust (?!?). So, I guess it's time for a crossover pipe and high-flow cats...I've had about enough of oxygen sensors for a while!

the one or 3 wire will work, the other 2 wires just heat up the sensor for optimal signal faster, but its not all that different in time, just a couple minutes. You prolly found the 1 wire off another cat cause its a cost effective way to put in a new one, just like you did.
