Default 23mm offset on a 1984???

I need to scrub some race/track tires for my 86 944 turbo. Will 16 x 8 early 944 offset(23.mm) fit on my 1984 928S?

Jensen, esentially your 928 wheels have the '87 and up offset in the 944 world.

Thanks guys, I thought that a 928 had "late offset" wheels but I was not sure. I had my RA1's mounted on my new track wheels(16 x 8 CCW's) but the tire shop said they are having problems balancing them due to the tire debris that is stuck onto the tire. The shop said I should put a few miles on them to scrub off the debris but my 944 turbo is waiting for a new alt...
