If so, when are you leaving?

On my '85 I did a similar thing, except I bent the metal contact that is on the mount on the steering column. Same effect though. It had me stumped initially as with the stock steering wheel, the horn worked fine. With the Momo, no horn - no matter what wiring combo I tried.

Finally noticed the metal contact down where the hub attaches and bent the contact up just for the hell of it. Voila! Horn works.

See the (pirated) pic below. I added an arrow pointing to the contact that I had to 'carefully' bend up a bit.

Good luck. -Ed

Be sure that horn button is a MOMO and not a DINO Porsche -crested button. They look and fit the same but the dino button requires a second loop for the ground. I just went through this problem!

Quick update- It was the metal strip that touches the hub. Bending it up did the trick!

Brad,
Nice to hear you got home safely and got the horn fixed I haven't cranked mine since last Sunday. Headed straignt to the beach Sunday and just got home. Can't wait to get the shark out tomorrow and go vacuum leak hunting again. I am going to take it to a good wrench in Charlotte soon but I am going to give it one more try.
