Just a question about sound/noise
I know this is a very subjective question, but...
I have an 87 with the DR cross-over, rmb, and cats. I'm wondering if anyone has compared this to the same thing without cats.
I know I could just change them out and see, but I'm immersed in the 82 and don't want to take the time right now, but I'm curious.
1. A little louder, but won't attract a lot of attention, just "healthier",
2. A lot louder, not for a quiet neighborhood, like a loud bike,
3. Somewhere in between.
I'm not talking about under full throttle, just normal driving. I expect it to be loud when its working hard.
Surely one of you has compared these two options.

I know that Fishey928S4 had/was planning on doing this exact thing. I never found out if he liked it or not. IIRC he wanted to just leave the S4/GT resinators on.
Maybe he will hop in and let ya know.
