Hello all I put the trans back in a 1984 928 and all went together okay just missing a little skin and some words I made up along the way.
how do you know if the converter is seated all the way in I THOUGHT it droped all the way the shoulder bolts went in okay and the converter moves with the crank,no action from axles...I know what a dumb ? but heck I just thought maybe by chance there is a Gremlin that moves the dogs in and out
thanks to all for the help
I will go back to look at it for a 1/2 hour and say NO WAY!!!

If you drained the transmission then you must refill it . First if there is no fluid in the trans resivoir, add fluid till it shows on the tank, then start the car, then put selector in every detent of the shift range and return to park with the E brake on, view the resivoir if it is low add fluid till the mark is reached with the engine running, also run the car thru the gears a few times to fill the system, after the trans has been filled then you should have power to the wheels
