Silver is the best choice if you want the worlds opinion. There are more silver cars sold in the world than any other color.

The difference in cost will be just for the materials. Black will be about $200 cheaper. That is for BASF or Glasurit. The brand of materials will be the most important as far as quality. Funny haw important the right color can be. I would have already bought another 928 but almost of the one's I have liked were excessively far away or were red or white and I will not buy one in either color and from years in a body shop I just cannot justify a color change.

okay, i could see coming on a forum and asking us to help with some colors. maybe throw out a few colors that were OE porsche, hlep you try to match your interior, narrow it down to a few choices to help you out. But choose black or silver? do you want everyone to flip a coin? are you REALLY gonna choose the color that everyone picks on the poll? what if all the silver people are in Florida and you don't get their vote? Everyone seemed to have a few ideas, but just going black or silver and thats it...well your going to continue to have decision issues cause yout gonna get alot of black votes and alot of silver votes.
I hope lunch isn't thins difficult to pick everyday too.

Black is the only way to go, but cheaper? you will see all kinds of things in the body that you wouldn't in silver. Black is the hardest color to do bodywork for (or show existing imperfections that you didn't see)

Black is my choice

The world does not need another black 928. Anything else.

I would keep it at the original color for reasons previously mentioned.

Default Black shows dirt

It takes 15 minutes of normal driving to get black car very dirty.

It takes 15 days to get a silver car to look that dirty.

Silver also looks less intimidating to women, yet it says high-performance to guys.

colour change is only possible to do if you spend incredible amounts of time and effort.

because forums are an extremely difficult place to judge demeanor in replys, I am not going to take any offense to that... I hope none was meant. now, I really am looking for everybody's feelings on the subject... perhaps someone will point something out that hasnt already been thought of; after all, I know damn well I dont know it all. about the silver people in florida... well, if I dont get thier vote, I will just call a recount based on the flaws in the current tally system. and, lunch is army food... so its better to go hungry.
