That and Devek cams, somewhere around 12:1 compression, race gas. He's not done tuning yet.

I think the real question that needs to be asked, is, what is the optimum amount of hp/tq to have in a 928 for enhancing the abilities that already exist. Too much hp and tq will create deficiencies in other areas. I am not sure if I would want to run the twisties in a 500hp 928. There does come a point when the hp becomes so great, that you lose the fine charactoristics of the car. You then have to start modifying other components to accept this increase. After it is all said and done, you have a much different car than you started out with.

What would get you to the point of contention with some of the other exotic sports cars of today?

I think that 400rwhp is the perfect amount of power for a 928. It just feels like the car was designed for more than 250-300rwhp (which we already know)

Mike
I think you got it about right.....400-450whp will make a 928 perform as good as or better than most of todays "supercars".....200+ top end with low 12's in the 1/4 (all assuming right gearing)..... The C6 Z06 puts down about 440whp...but its lighter by about 400lbs....so a 928 would need about 480whp to match it?
