Gts quarterpanels

You can still get new GTS quarters. I forget his exact username, but the rennlister "6.0....." bought some. I forget what he said he paid for them, but it was much less than the $2500 I'd heard previously. ($650 maybe?)

Kevin,
I got mine used for about half new, but don't know of any more in NA.
New at 928 SPLST
Quarter Panel GTS Left/Rear (primed) Porsche 928.503.061.21.GRV Price: $1,252.97
Rob at DC auto may be able to do better. In the past, I have found him to be the "lowest" on new metal.
Now for the bad news, GTS fuel door (and GTS fuel door "hinge hardware") is pricey. If you can get one used, it is usually cheap (make sure you get the hinge hardware!). GTS rear qtr moldings (one inch plastic) are $120+ ea! Again, if found used, they are cheap. You may also need a set of 3/4 to 1" 5X130 hub-centric wheel adapters (ebay $100). I am currently running 8" rear wheels on my S4 and I have to bring them out a full inch. There is a lot more room in the GTS rear QTR's!
If you are going this way, I can put you onto a couple GTS's in Europe.
Don't forget that when you buy a used set of qtr's, most yards will not ship them due to size. You may be able to get free shipping on new panels from a seller, because they are most likely not coming from their shop, but from Porsche. Have them go direct to you! Used, when you do get them, you will be paying labour to have the GTS skins cut from the old structure. Then you may be into labour touching up the used panels themselves. New QTR panels will arrive in a box ready to go on you car. So there could be a significant cost savings on new.
Cheers,
Michael

Rixter,
I don’t think anyone “has” new GTS qtr panels in the box, but you can order them from Porsche can’t you? Hopefully anyway.
Garth,
I ordered my spacers last night. A full inch was req! $127 usd delivered.
Thanks again for the kind offer.
Unfortunately my S4 skins were tossed out. They got a few bends in them when they were being pulled anyway.
Sorry Kevin. They would have been just the shipping cost to you if you wanted them.
Best of luck,
Michael

I'm currently installing Louie Ott's fender flares right now. Well built, inexpensive, more room than the GTS flare, and lighter.
No afilliation - Louis does great work and they fit perfectly the first time.

None of my cars has that, and the bodykits on them are more than 10 years old. Cracks are caused by excessive use of bondo and resin. A good shop uses minimal bondo and resin.

Here are some pics of my install. Sorry in advance for the lousy quality....one side has just been installed, and the driver's side is currently being faired.
The prime job on the driver's side is gross, but it's just so I can see the whole thing as I fair it in. Most of the bondo you see will be gone.
The pics don't even show how good the fit was out of the box. To install you need to cut out the old fender.

I don't buy the expansion deal - especially if you bond with epoxy like I did and have the minimum of filler when done. You'll be fine. Do it with boats all the time
Kudos to Louie.
