RMB install

Received RMB(thanks 928 Spec) getting ready to install and noticed heat shield may not be replaced. Will removal cause any deformation of rear clip?

My RMB hangs pretty low. My exhaust tips never seem to get that hot. These two things together have led to no deformation or uglifying. YMMV

My only concern would be that the gas tank is right there. The one time it does get too hot, may be the last.

Mine is mounted very close to the clip and it looks like it may have touched a couple of times. No issues with overall shape, just a couple of marks on the cutout.
