Don't use your lips, use a leaf blower. Searched the archives & could only find one reference to this, but maybe everybody does it? I got the idea when I was at a buddy's house & he was just finishing washing his car when he donned a backpack leaf blower & removed most of the remaining water. I figured if it's good enough for his Chevy truck, it's good enough for my GT. Sure as hell, I had an old Craftsman electric leaf blower at home & using it cuts the drying towels to one & only half of one at that. Also, you can blow out that pesky water stored around the light housings that ends up dripping after you've dried & put the car back in the garage. Try it, you'll like it.

It is much more fun to make a 100+mph pass for about 2 to 3 miles
I guess the leaf blower works just as well just not as much fun.
Thanks for sharing. There are no stretches of road around here where its guranteed that I won't get a ticket for just drying off my car.

Good idea, as long as the leaf blower is really clean so it doesn't sandblast the paint.
Here's a trick to reduce the amount of water on the car after the final rinse - remove the spray nozzle and turn the flow of the hose to about half, then slowly play the water stream over the car, starting on the roof and working down. Most of the water will sheet off, rather than remaining as many water blobs that must be wiped/blown off..

Good Idea! Been there - done that - I also use a pump sprayer with distilled water to wash my car. No tap water for me please!. The water in AZ is HORRIBLE!

Tony, I was about to make the same observation! You can only wet one side of the car at a time, and, even then, you have to dry everything as fast as possible to prevent spotting. That's the penalty of single-digit humidity and three digit temperatures. Different strokes . . . .

I'm certain you are kidding...
My house has a west exposure; that means that the sun sets on my front yard. I wash my car at 7 am, before the rising sun comes above the house and shines on my driveway.
-My house in Orlando was just the opposite; I always washed the car after 5 pm, which was actually easier since I could wash while the idiots viewed the local news and then eat dinner around the national news. Of course, back then, the national news made sense since the people running the country weren't Republicans. The long and short is that the evenings now are full of budget deficits and dead/amputee 21 year olds. That's what you get when you elect a complete ****ing idiot for president. Sorry.
WASHING ONE's CAR, since it is so important in the grand scheme of things....ought to be done in shadow. Why? Exactly as Tony has said...if the drops evaporate before you have the chance to remove them via goat-skin "chamois"...then you get spots. Las Vegas is a nice town, but it has its limitations....
