The original "PORSCHE" is painted on. I pretty much followed Tony's writeup. I stripped the calipers, and cleaned them up as best I could. This is really important. On the rears, I missed a couple little bits of the old paint and it shows (up close). I masked off the areas where teh pads touch the caliper to avoid any sqealing (not sure if it contributes or not, but I thought it best to avoid getting paint on these parts). After cleaning, I got 2 bolts that fit the bleeder screw holes - you need long ones so the head of the bolt doesn't hit the caliper body - and hung the caliper by these bolts and sparyed the the whole thing with red caliper paint. After about 3 or 4 coats, I let them dry overnight.

I had purchased some vinyl "PORSCHE" decals from xenonmods.com ($7.99 incl shipping). They're just slightly too large for the caliper, but close enough. I applied the decals and then shot them with a few coats of clear. Let dry and then re-installed.

That's the whole thing. I don't know how well the decals will hold up, but should find out at SITM.

Just rec'd my hood liner and crest....the answer is probably obvious, but which side is glued to the hood.....foamy side i expect although i kind of like the look of the open foam as opposed to the smooth surface...i guess mounting the porsche crest would be tough on the rough side

Yes, you can have either side exposed, but the closed side is the better choice if you're installining the Porsche logo.
