Default ticking coming from my front pass wheel???????

there is a tcik that starts about 5 mph coming from the pass front wheel somewhere. the tick is slow at 5mph and gets faster as speed increases. Since the tick has slow interval at low speed, i would think it from the tire but its not.
Ive checked the tire for nails and rocks
i pulled the tire and looked for anything that would hang in there to make a noise and i can't find anything. there doesn't seem to be a whole lot to look at that turns with the wheel.
i tried having someone drive and me walk next to it, but since it wont start till 5mph its hard to keep up with lol.
the noise DOESNT get louder if you roll the window down
I had a similar noise on an old BMW but that was from the lug bolts being over tightened and touching the brake splash guard, but whe have lug nuts on these.
Any thoughts?

Brake pad wear sensor - clipped into back edge of pad and hard to see - probably catching against the slot in rotor.
Jack car up and spin wheel fast, see if you hear it.

I have a similar noise on the same wheel on my Blue 85S shark. Mine goes away when you press on the brakes or turn the steering wheel. It was suggested to me possibly the brake caliper hanging up perhaps??

Peeling paint on inside of old rotor guards - that's what mine was anyway.

Are you sure it's on the outside? On my 82 I had the same sound and could not figure it out. It was O2 sensor mileage counter in the hump next to the passenger seat. Your clue about it not being louder with the window down is what I experienced.

Brake heatshields/ducts loose - check these before you disassemble the brakes

I agree with Andrew. I experienced same thing on my 1980, and also thought it was wheel/brake related. Anyway, remove cover next to seat, put someone in the passenger seat, have them listen to the O2 counter while you drive around the block.
