Chuck is one man...and a very busy one at that, from what I can tell. He works the site in his spare time as it is an extra curricular activity for him. As time goes on and things get more popular, more folks find the site and submit more info. You will just have to be patient until he eventually finds the time to make some up dates.

 

I wonder if he would be willing to take on a volunteer to help out with the registry? I have a little free time, and some web experience, and it's 928 related!

 

It wasn't too long ago that he put out that very call. MYears were assigned and people werer supposedly updating info to him and looking on public sites for new info. Maybe you could PM him with your offer.

 

It is very much alive and I did get ALL your emails! Like Keith said, I do this as a no cost to you hobby in my spare time. Unfortunately, between work and my "honey do" list I am not able to work on the site as much as I'd like.

Steve is correct, I did put out a call for assistance a couple months ago and got volunteers for the various models. Folks volunteered to submit the cars via a registration form and I would post them on the site. I still have to do the work as I am not willing to give out any admin rights for the site (call me too conservative if you will...).

Here is the list of volunteers by model. I have gotten some stuff from a few on the list but not all have been submitting cars as they volunteered. If you're reading this and you volunteered but do not have the time or inclination to submit cars please let me know and I'll take you off the list and do the cars myself as time permits....

Mack - a loooong time ago there used to be this OLD OLD ANCIENT dude called Chuck Z that ran that site, but man that was in like the 70's .... I think he'd be like 120 years old by now ....

Would like some feedback to help make your job easier... I've been submitting cars as they pop up from time to time, but would like to know if I'm doing it properly. If there is anything we can do to make it easier please let us know. It's a great site that I routinely use as a reference.

I didn't mean for it to sound too harsh. Some people don't seem to understand that I am not sitting by my computer waiting for them to send me their registration and when their registration doesn't go up immediately they start firing off emails. Perhaps I need to put something on the registration confirmation about it taking some length of time before it to show up on the site. Seriously, I do not have the time to update the site on a daily or even weekly basis, I am just this week starting on registrations from March. I do not want to discourage people from registering, I just want everyone to understand I do this in my spare time as a hobby and lately my spare time has been short.

 

Hey Andrew, I am getting the cars you are submitting and that is how I prefer to get them. Thanks for your help.
