Default AC Compressor Oil Capacity

I have searched through several threads, but never actually came up with what I am looking for. I have weighed out SEVERAL pros/cons of r12 vs. r134a. Long story short, even though I think r12 is the better choice, I am going with r134a.

What is the oil capacity of the a/c Compressor? I have an 81' US Spec. I just now took off my old receiver/dryer and am going back into the garage to remove the old expansion valve right now. Replacing all seals in the system. I just need to know how much oil to add to my compressor after I drain the old stuff. And, fwiw, I got the Ester oil for it. Thanks for all your help. Will check back here after I get my expansion valve off, which might be a while since it is supposed to be a PITA.. Thanks!

Nobody knows? Had to make a run to the store, eat dinner etc... I'm ready to take off my compressor & refill it now.. Still looking for somebody's input on this matter.. (Man, that expansion valve was a bitch to get back on! Getting it off was a piece of cake in comparison)

Thanks!

Thank you very much Jim, I appreciate the response. I ended up finding a sticker today on the side (underneath a LOT!!!!!!! of sludge) that said 280CC. I have it reinstalled. My only problem now, is that although it holds a perfect vacuum, I can't get it to suck in my r134a coolant. The compressor is engaging, just nothing is happening.. I am not sure exactly what the problem is just yet.. However, I will be searching these threads for more info. Thanks again.
