windshield motor testing
1986.5 928
I searched the forum and didn't see much, and I tried the WSM and it didn't seem to help. If this stuff is around- please point me in the right direction.
My windshield wipers are not working on any setting. After some tracing I'm pretty sure it is the motor. I've pulled the motor off the car now, and am wondering... how can I test it? Can I hook my car battery to it (12v)? But even then... what wires do I test to. There is a ground that comes off the transmission. There is a harness that has black, yellow, red, brown, blue, and green connections. This goes to a plastic thing on the transmission, Then a green, red, and black come out of that and go to the motor itself. So where should I put wires in order to get this to move (if it does operate)?
Thanks!
Simon
