Default Driving feeback, DR's stainless modular.

Wow. I finally got Gretch registered and out on the road last weekend. Made the drive from the mountains to Boston on Saturday. Drove some on Sunday and took the car to work this morning. Mods since I last drove it are the DR front antisway bar and DR's stainless modular cross with hi-flow cats. I was able to remove the airpump and all associated plumbing since the new cats do not need a supply of fresh air.

The car is not really any louder than it was before, mind you the cats and resonators on this car ARE the mufflers.....But the tone of the "burble" at idle is melodic, and the roar it emits at "flappy time" (4,500 rpm or so) is unmistakeable. I swear the car runs cooler too......makes me think the old cats were err....."problematic". I dunno, all I can say is she is running great. Last fall I backed off on the SC tensioner so as to only see about 5 PSI. She is running so well this year with the complete tune up and exhaust modifications, that I am gonna crank the blower back up.......

Let the thunder begin. GREAT PRODUCT DAVE!!!!!! See you at SITM, I sure hope I get to see the shark tuner doctor when I am there.

A happy camper! Plus, isn't it great to be back in circulation again?

With the rather large exception of a SC 'huffer', my S4 exhaust system is as yours was ..... stock cat, 'GT' resonators and RMB. In considering a 'X' pipe, the dilema of no muffling cats in the system meant addition of the hi-flows you have installed ( not required here) .... or stick the twin outlet 'GT' muffler back on in place of the RMB. I'm sure one or the other is necessary to achieve sane dB levels.
I would be interested to know if any normally aspirated car advanced to the 'melodic' sound state you are obviously enjoying ....

DR's "Mountain Man ModularXpipe" is simply AWESOME! Look forward to hearing your Super Shark at SITM! As I've said before, once you go "X", there's no going back!!

Garth, foot-in-it, or not....the sound is the "Barry White" of exhaust systems.....Think of the cats as mufflers......hell at the price Dave charges for them, they cost about the same.......

Nice to get out with my "fair weather friends"....took the Harley out on Friday and the TR6 out Saturday morning......the whole fleet is back on the road again... The sleds look unhappy at being put in storage though.....
