Default Ebay: Voltage Stabilizer * TOP SPEED

Some of you have probably seen this on eBay - came across it while trolling for all things 928 I have seen it before so it must be an ongoing scam...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...56818277QQrdZ1

Apparently you just wire this thing in and your car performs better... better top speed, engine computers work better - protects your investment yada yada yada....

Well I have no idea what it is... looks like a power resistor, for it to do anything like what is claimed It would need to be a multi farad capacitor (but I doubt its even a capacitor - certainly no more than 250uF if it is...).

So what does it do - well for the very reasonable price of $36.00 I'm pretty sure it does either nothing or maybe even just loads your electrical system more which would be worse than nothing... don't buy one whatever you do!

If it looks too good to be true...

Alan

PS for later when the link no longer works - it looks like this...
and blurb says...

Installed Benefits: (Very Small Investment for your Vehicle)

I think I need at least 2
