Huh?? The GT's definitely have the go.

This particular GT had the GTS bumper put on after it was *** ended.

Earl Gilstrom a few years ago had some running issues with his 91 GT. Turned out the PO had installed a lower temp thermostat. After changing to the factory spec unit his running problems disappeared. FWIW...

Yes the car was *** ended pretty bad...much worse than I could have ever expected, when I bought it from Wilhoit.. The guy who bought it had work done on the back end, repainted the car, even though the paint was pretty good but was not the correct Guards Red so he wanted the correct paint on it. He had the spoiler painted and added the mirrors and wheels. I'm sure alot of dough was spent, and the car ran strong, I sold it with 56k on it.

Cool

I don't believe there is much difference in the "GO" between the '91 GT and the GTS

Do your homework young grasshoppa.
I have seen GT's post higher numbers than GTS', on average. Do some searches on dyno results and look through some websites that keep track and the facts are hard to deny.

I have found the stock temp gauge to be only an indicator of trend in temp. Even then it moves slow. You cant pull a specific temp from it..it has no numbers. Ive had the red light go off only to look at the gauge to see the needle sitting pretty right in the middle of the scale.
Dont trust them.
Best thing i did was install an aftermarket temp sensor. Nice to have in the summer in Vegas

Nice looking car!

Ross,
I hate to admit it but the 91GT is faster than the GTS.
Don't tell Ernie I told you that.

I guess you learn something new everyday, the GTS does have .4 liters over the GT no?

AHA! That might be causing your rough problems. The stock thermostat is 192F or 90C IIRC. Get the right one, and install it.

I suspect the GT will keep up with any GTS both stock, as it were. We've hashed this out before, the 5 sp GTS might have a slight edge.

Its at 29500 already...thats got to be close to a record for a 91 GT...even if it does have some history, I hope no one thinks they are getting a GTS by mistake.
