I think these are good pictures - but - depends what you want to see - these convinced me not to buy factory replacements...

BTDT many times now.. yawn! a perennial topic it seems...
To keep the engine quieter - first deployed on Swiss market models then as standard on the GTS.
to me this is hard to imagine - does the sucking really sound that loud..?
Concensus seems to be the air doesn't wam up appeciably in the tubes anyway so minimal benefit for that.
The downside is they are a piece of crap! the foam gets ugly, they split (especially along the glued and taped seam and the cover is so thin and becomes so brittle with age that it tears as you remoce from under the brace.
Mine are gone and I'm glad... only difference is my engine looks nicer!
