Seat belt stuck...........SO trapped
Minor problem for me but for my passengers. While going for ice-cream yesterday my wife got stuck by the seat belt as it wouldn't release; passenger seat. While I know you good folks can come up with creative fixes I was looking at potentially swapping the lower connection point of the seat belt with the one of the rears.............we never take back seat drivers.
Is it possible? if so how?
thx...........Malcolm

That's hilarious, Bigs.
I had thought that the front and rear seat belts used different width tongues.
But I had accidentally attached the front passenger seat belt into the rear buckle.
Normally I'd think lubrication might be the key but hate to mess around with
the safety system.
That's a neat trick.
Sorry dear. I can't get the seatbelt free.

My wife does think other wise especially when I'm reaching over her to unleash the belt in a public place; other than that it makes for another interesting conversation

Malcolm: Got the 2 from my new interior. I stayed with my old seatbelts so the one's from the 90's cabin are just taking up space in my cellar. PM me if you want them. They are the ones mounted on the seat itself.

As much as I enjoy the banter I do need some advice.
Are they fixable? if not and need to replace the locking mechanism I assume the seat has to come out and then?

No reason not to try lube. Lubrication will not compromise the spring-loaded latching mechanism. In fact, lack of lubrication might prevent the full completion of the latching process.
OTOH, if it's just the release that's inop perhaps there's a problem with the lever between the release button and the latch.
OTTH, 928Intl sells used belts.
