Hi, My 82 is in the paint shop and while it's there I want to fix the sunroof it's sitting a little askew. The back is a little high. Is there an adjustment to align this better.

Hi there are 4 adjustable points on the sun roof 2 front and 2 rear, after you get it correct it is a good idea to use some blue loctite on the screws, Stan

There are about eight pages of detailed instructions in the Factory Workshop Manuals on adjusting the sunroof - too much to type here...
If you don't have the manuals, the best money that you can spend on your 928 is to get all of the 928 tech info CDs that Jim Morehouse has prepared. His email address is jim928ATptd.net Replace the AT with @

A quick and dirty reply is open the roof about 2/3 of the way, look at the front edge of the roof you will see 3 phillips screws unscrew each one about 3 turns, gently pull the inner liner down till the screw release from the slots in the liner then gently slide the liner to the front and lift it out toward the top close the sunroof and you will see all of the different screws also make shure that you dont open the roof without carefully securing the the atni rattle rods there are 3 of them that will snap out of the roof when you close it , the end rods can be bent to the sides and will ride above the roof liner but the center rod must be held up while you open the roof or it will bend when it contacts the rear edge of the inside roof liner. Be careful not to let the roof be to hi in the mounts as it could very easily scratch the paint on the sunroof when you open it fully, and as Wally said , get the WSM before you do any work on the roof there are quite a few bits of info that will guide you, Stan
