Default New SoCal Owner Requests TB Party

I will the proud owner of a 1988 Venetian Blue/Blue with AT and 120K miles this Saturday.
Thanks to support from Dr Bob, Rixter and others and the great looks of the car I have taken the plunge. The car passed the PPI (Precision Motorsports-Anaheim) with flying colors but needs the old TB/WP service.
Dr Bob has given me the list that I need to get from 928 International, all of which arrived today.
Is anyone up for a party? A good time for me would be any Saturday starting April 22 or any Saturday thereafter.
Thanks again for the fantastic support and advice from the 928 group.
I will post some pictures after this weekend.

Cool

Welcome to the group Rolf. I'm not much of a wrench, but I'd be glad to help guard the refreshments, or anything else that needs to be done

My travel schedule in the next few weeks is getting more and more complex. I should know in the next day or so whether I'll be home on the 15th. The 4/22 date is open right now, but there's travel on the calendar the next day (Sunday), so there's no time to recover if something goes wrong on Saturday. The following two weekends are booked too.

It's springtime power plant maintenance outage season in the southeast, through the end of May. I get to come in to install new software, and coordinate the restart efforts after all the work is done. Figuring out "when all the work is done" is often a challenge.

This may end up sometime in June if I'm hosting, and it's touch-and-go for then due to weather issues. It gets too hot late in the month.

Bob, thanks again for your generous offer. Let me know what works for you and I will arrange my schedule around yours.

Thanks

congrats Rolf!
Pirtle has an excellant writeup on the tb/wp procedure, I would recommend pulling the covers a few days early and spraying all the bolts down with PB BLaster to avoid issues the day of your 'party"...
I also recommend all new wp bolts

Rixter
PS.. got your letter, the local SPCA got a nice gift!
