For the later style seats:

Factory sport seat, with electric elevators, backrest and fore/aft manual will come in at 50 lbs.

Factory sport seats that are full manual, with no height adjustments are 43 lbs.
These were only available on the passenger side of the club sport edition on the 928 as far as I can tell, but they were widely available in 944 and 911 families.

It might be good to point out that weight is only one factor to be considered.
The Recaro seats of that era are among the very best car seats available.
Really well made, sturdy, easy to repair. They have a spring suspension that will give decades of firm, comfortable support.
They are in fact much better than some of the current seats offered by Porsche.

They are heavy, but the 928 was first and foremost designed as a luxury, long distance cruiser. And in that respect, few seats will give you the same amount of comfort, support and style.

I've got 924 seats in my car. I think it was a pre-1980 car they came out of. Flat, low and barely adjustable. Seemed a good deal lighter than the 928 seats they replaced. Bolted right up. No weight numbers but guaranteed to weigh less than stock 928 seats.

 

I'm looking at these ones for my car. They are called Aero Designs and the model is the Ares. The transitioning color in the middle makes me sick so I intend to dye it a cashmere color to match the rest of the interior.

Anyone see these? I might be looking at these too for my car. I will more than likely reupholster them in leather though. The price is really reasonable and they have a polycarbonate seat shell behind it.

I am bumping this thread in regard to a width question. There are seats such as the Corbeau A4 wide which are approximately 21". Most aftermarket seats out there sit thin people and have a width of less than 20". I saw a set of seats that say they are approximately 22" wide, which is probably at the top of the seat. Is this too wide to fit in the 928?
