Default Anther digital clock bites the dust...

Sigh. I replaced my digital clock 2 years ago with a used unit. Now it's toast. Minutes work, but the hours... always 6, or 16 something. DANG.

I'd really prefer an analog clock, but they don't come standard in an 86...

It's a small thing, but it bugs me. And I guess it's not really small, if a used stock part costs 75 bucks, and a JagEng upgrade coats double that...

sigh

That's the last straw! If I were you, I'd get a Cayman S coming off lease!!!

brings up a question: Is there an analog clock out of a BMW or volvo match up well enough to use?

Why not just buy a VDO clock from summit racing or a marine gauge shop or some other gauge manufacturer. Better yet, who needs the clock anymore? Every newer stereo already has a clock, save your money for a new stereo and save that slot for the two SC gauges your going to need later!!!

Funny this comes up.....

I think I'm gonna try to find an OB shift panel, one of the earlier ones with the round hole for the clock.... Then see if the 2 1/16 inch fuel gauge fits into that hole, and if so, that it fits into the "slot" below the radio... Then, if this all works out well, find some way to "carve" another hole on each side of the clock hole, and install the other two gauges I want to install.....

Anybody have an "extra" panel for sale? Trade? Donate??? Email offline.....

And Bigs, I saw my first Cayman on the street today! Nice looking, too bad it doesn't come with the V-8 I first heard about....

Or - Do like I did and mount an XM over the clock!

I'm not buying another one of those digital clocks again, that's for sure. Perhaps the 'save it for gauges' idea is the best. Because I want a Kompressor!

I like the gauges idea. Anyone have an insert? Jager?

Replace the digital clock with a digital boost guage.

I have learned to never trust the time of a clock in a car and always ook at my watch instead.

Two problems solved.
