The key source of the LH failure is from the use of battery chargers which have
a high current charging capability, e.g. booster charger, or those with current
capacities greater than 2-3 amps. This becomes especially true for totally dead
batteries where chargers greater than 1 amp will potentially cause problems
to ECUs, e.g. the LH ECM unit. Pins 9 & 4 are the problematic inputs.

Bottom line: Always remove the battery before charging it and NEVER use a
booster charger to start the car. If your LH unit does fail, call 928 Int'l, as they
stock ALL the 928 ECUs at very reasonable prices. Since they're located in the
USA, they can provide a unit next-day at an inexpensive shipping cost.
