Default It's time for me to sell one of my 928s

1984 928 for sale

Guards Red
Black interior
Auto tranny
Stock wheels

She's a good car. She was good to me. I had to make a choice. I looked at all
3 in the garage and had to pick the 84. I looked her in the headlights and said,

"It's not you, baby. It's me."

She's taking it well.

The good:

* It's a 928! Beautiful car!
* Car runs like a top. Very reliable.
* Does not smoke
* Owners were non-smokers too ;-)
* Water pump and timing belt replaced 10 miles ago
* Oil and filter changed 10 miles ago
* Radiator flushed 10 miles ago
* Has K&N air filter
* Looks great from 30 ft. Repaint done in 95. A real head turner.
* Tires have plenty of life left - I would guess 80% tread left (may be more)
* I have owned this car here in TX since 1996 and it was always garaged -
even if driven to work
* Never driven in rain
* A snappy sports car with a very relaxing and luxurious ride that has
plenty of Oompf to keep a smile on your face (928 owners know)
* Heater works great - no MBS
* No side molding
* Has factory wide rear option (that just means wheel spacers on the rear)

The bad:

* Odometer stopped at ~132K (common plastic gear failure).
Estimated mileage approx ~180K
* Windshield cracked
* Dash has coverlay cover that is warped
* Rear hatch release motor needs to be adjusted - it runs, but no longer pops the hatch
* Sunroof motor missing - I hand-cranked it open once, but I shut it and it has remained shut
* AC needs to be serviced
* Cruise control does not hold - most likely a vacuum leak
* Transmission has slow drip from front seal
* Has space-saver spare and tools, but no air compressor
* The electric antenna is permanently up
* There is an almost imperceptible dent where a dog (yes, a dog) ran head first
into the bottom of the passenger door.
* There is a dime-size soft dent in the cowl
* There is a dime-size nick in the right side windshield molding
* The paint job looks great from 30 ft.(wait, that's in the "good" section! Well you
know what this means.) It has small rock-chips here and there. A tiny bottle
of touch-up could hide them all.

I just have too many other projects to work on. I need the garage space for
those. It's gotten out of hand. I have a 4 car garage and I barely have room to
walk around in there! I need to move this car to another enthusiast.

I'm entertaining all offers near $4K. That number is totally negotiable.

Here's the only digital pic I have at this time:

The car is located in Austin, TX. Actually, very close to Cedar Park, a suburb
just north of Austin. It is totally road-worthy and could be driven home as long
as you live on the same continent (meaning: you probably couldn't drive it home
if you lived in Hawaii, for example ;-)

If at all interested, contact me via PM.
