What should be done to a car to prep it for supercharging?

It will be fine. I had boost going into the LH for almost ayear and I don't feel any negative effects. The boost gage is also hooked up to that vacum line.

No, no decisions on specific design. I am also looking into the turbos.

I just want more HP. Why wouldn't I?

Gotta love the 85-86 US cars, 32 valves with nifty old-school spoilers - and soooo many options for upgrading.
