Question Lightning Strike

Is this a first?

During a bad storm last week I was sitting in my car when lighting struck about 50 feet from me. The car shook a bit and that was that. Nothing serious seems to be working improperly. However, the warning bell that sounds when, for example, you leave your lights on sounds constantly! I just thought I would find and pull the fuse (if there is one) or remove the "bell" (if I can get to it) since turning up the radio is not a realistic option. A couple panel lights are out as well and I can no longer roll the windows after turning off the car which is no big deal.

Does anyone know which fuse or relay I can pull and whether it will affect other critical things? Any direction would be appreciated!

W/o knowing your MY, no one can tell for sure. But you can go to 928gt.com and find the fuse/relay chart, if it isn't in the slipcover attached to the footboard under the carpet where it is on my '85.

I would bet you'll find a couple other things as you go... EMP, electro magnetic pulse, from lightning is very strong.. even though the car is grounded that's pretty bloody close for a strike

From reading the symptoms, I think the door position switch got either damaged or fried. If the door light switch is showing that the door is open then the windows will not go down after the ignition is turned off. Can this also make the warning alarm to go off when the car is in motion?
