Default INJECTOR DELEMA

I just got my inake parts back from my friend who was doing me a favor and glass beading a lot of my motor parts. We had discussed ahead of time about masking off the CIS injectors. He was out for a few days and one of his co workers was looking to help him out...to make a long story short, he didn't. Now I have a set of injectors contaminated with glass bead material.

So, is there a way to back flush them, I have searched briefly and have seen some info on the electronic style, but not the CIS. Does anyone have a set for sale or a source where they can be purchaced ? I also am in need of 2 bushings, spun at time of disassembly this afternoon.

Any help will be appriciated, thanks in advamce, DAVID

CIS fuel injectors (928.110.225.00) are available and are quite a bit less expensive than the electronic type. I suggest that you replace all of them and all the rubber sleeves (928.110.398.00). If the caps (tensioning sleeves) were damaged, the p/n for those are 928.110.399.02.

These parts should be available from the many 928 part sources.

Might try holding the pintle open then backflushing with spray throttle body cleaner. After backflushing fill the inlet side with cleaner then use 50 to 60 lbs of compressed air to check the spray pattern. If the spray pattern is bad, repeat or replace.

Good luck.
