**Update** See below for instructions.
Recently I sent Jim Morehouse my 1991 Owner's Manual for his latest iteration of the CD manuals. The other day sent me the electronic version back which I filled away on my PC. I was bored and was looking through it, and notice this section on what sounds like express close. If I have it, it doesn't work (express open does work for me). Just wondering if anyone else has it and it works?

That would be nice. It seems that the euro GT's also close the windows if you hold the key in the locking position in the door for two seconds. On my car I have to hold the key until the windows are up.

H-
I think it started in 1990. On mine, if I hold the key in the lock position (or the lock button on my keyless
) it will roll up the pass side, then close the sun roof, and then the driver's side. So there must be some type of limit switch in the system to tell it to go from one to the next.
John-
I search both the web and email archives, but came up with nothing. If you come across that writeup, I'd appreciate it if you could post it.
I guess I'll shoot Alan (our resident electrical guru) a quick note to see if he has any insight. Express close would be really nice!

I believe its a Euro option thats deleted on NA cars. Rental cars in Euro today have this feature; express close. Perhaps too many potential law suits for arms, heads etc to get caught in the express close!

I know of a certain '94 GTS with express open/close. Unfortunately, you can't make both windows go up at the same time (you have to do the driver's window, wait for it to close, then the passenger's window). Did someone add this in on their own?

My car will open windows/sunroof in the sequence pushed. So if I push sunroof, driver window, passenger they open automatically in that order or whatever order pushed. The key will either open or close the windows and sunroof but as said only one thing will function at a time.Turn the key to the left and hold it closes turn to the right and hold it opens. No express close feature for either window as far as I know. Don't understand why Porsche did that.
I can open both windows and the sunroof on the turbo at the same time but there is no express up or down option, you must hold the buttons for it to work. The turbo locks, windows and sunroof also work at twice the speed as the 928.

Does anyone know if there is a retrofit to have express up on both windows and sunroof? If they had it on the euro models it my just be a simple wire change.

Took my S4 for a quick spin (yes, the snow is melting) and when I got home opened both windows and the sunroof. Without opening the door the windows and sunroof will close and or open again. Leaving them open and locking the car from the outside with the long key the doors lock; NOTHING else.
