Default Interesting 928 video

Ford vs 928 vs F1 . They start the Ford out first and give it a 30 sec head start. Then they start the Porsche and a little while later the F1 car. Its a one lap, 3 mile race. Video Here

Notice how side protection moulding is dark instead of body color. I bet that is '81 MY. Only MY I have seen with those. All later models have smooth body color painted mouldings.

Thats a classic. Niki Lauda sipping coffee/tea and hauling ***. I watched that when it was made. Cool Find.

Another 928 in the pit lane.

I've seen the same thing, but with different vehicles.

One of 'em has Michael Schumacher.

The F1 car always wins, lol.

Sweet, nice find, although I seem to remember getting a 1.6 sierra up to >100 took a loooooooong straight and even then the speedo told big fibs. God forbid you had a side wind.

At work so cant watch the Video, but a few years ago I saw something on the speed channel where they compared a Ferrari 456 and the current F1 car. There was a 0-100-0 challenge and the F1 car went 0-100-0 before the 456 (and this was the driver's personal 456) got to 100.

I like how the F1 car passes the Sierra almost a second before the 928 does. Nice sound out of the 928 too.

Cool video. Thanks.

Unfortunately, way too much shifting of the sierra is shown; you only see the dash of the 928...

I'm leaving work early so I can do some shifting of my own. Sunny and 67 here!

That is cool, but what's even funnier, is the next video of Mark A's footage with factory 996 cars spinning off the track... These guys need to learn to drive their cars before they get out there. If I was a rear engine guy, I would have a serious sour puss watching a 928 weave through the field. Too damn funny!

How come the 928 and Sierra both have the same non-Porsche sound?

Exactly! I watched that video too and it cracked me up.

Nice way to advance through the field. Hang on their tail until they freak out, lift, then spin. Ha ha...

Watch it here http://youtube.com/watch?v=ma2R2BmOtIo&search=928

Great sounds from Mark's car btw.

I bet the guy in the white one just about $hit a brick when he thought he was going to be Mark's hood ornament.

The word from the 996 underground is that there was oil being shot out forward from underneath the front of Mark's car. However, between the superior driving of Mark and the superior engineering of the 928, he avoided both the oil slicks and the ice-capades of the 996's...

Ditto. Nothing like the sound of a good V8!
