Twin Screw S/C - Who is selling?
I have been a little out of touch lately, but need to know who is selling the
twin screw supercharger kits. I know Murf and Carl F. are selling superchargers but I am interested in the "positive displacement" twin screw/roots type.
Thanks

No one is shipping them right now.
So if you want to order one today, there is no one with a complete kit,
ready to go...
You'll have to build it yourself, buy a used kit from someone,
or wait for DR to finish his development and start selling his kits...

Inquiring minds without the funds or knowledge to take on either setup must know. Thanks.

Simply put the Vortec (or other) Centrifugal superchargers are a belt driven turbo. that blows the charged air into a stock intake.
The Twinscrew/roots replaces the stock intake and blows right into the heads, (sort of).

Shane is correct in that the centrifugal is the same type pump (blower) thats used for a turbocharger except the engine turns the pump not the exhaust.
The positive desplacement - pumps a fixed amount of air per revolution.
I will not comment on the pros and cons. . . believe me there are several.
Thanks for the input.

Ok, thanks for the "basic" explanations guys. I think I got it. Also sounds like a fun topic, so I will do a search when I have some free time and need some entertainment. Thanks! -Ed
