Default Polished Valve Covers (end of story)

Having listened to the helpful comments about the likely discoloration of polished magnesium, I took my covers backs to the Shine Shop and had them powder-coated in wrinkle-finish red. I was able to re-use the letters I got from Nicole. Very pleased with the result, which I am sure will require much less maintenance.

Wow - that looks really sharp! And I'm sure it will stay that nice a lot longer.

BTW: The letters are also available in chrome - in case anybody ever does a dark color for intake and/or valve covers.

I like the red but the polished is very nice as well. Where did you get your work done if you don't mind my asking? Same place both times?

Both jobs were done at the Shine Shop, here in Henderson, NV.

Wow!! Now you went and created a decision for the rest of us...polished or wrinkle-red.

BTW - the polished could be clear coated in powder too.

You could have just gotten them clear powder coated to keep the shine protected...

Tony, I think it was the pictures of yours that inspired me.
