Man, I'll bet we've got a bad sensor or something, mine idles exactly there and does exactly same things. But the wsm doesn't mention a "high idle" situation unless you have a vacuum leak. I think both problems must be related.

For the 675-725rpm people: what happens if you unplug the O2 sensor? Are there other sensor playing a role in fuel injection in a 87 s4 (apart from tempII, throttle switches and MAF?

All,

Thanks for the feedback (just got back from vacation so i am checking the responses). I will be checking out the car over the weekend and I will update you. If i need a new injector set, i will probably be going with the Bosch set for the Mustang 5.0 19#... seems many are using them, and at $200 vs. $1000 for the Porsche version, they are worth a try

Sincerely,

Khaled, you ever figure out your problem? Was it injector related?

I ask because I just got my TT job done and I have a vibration/shudder at approx 1800 rpm also. I don't remember it being there before the TT job, but that was a year and half ago, so can't say for sure.

Anyway, just fishing around for answers and thought I'd see how your issue got resolved...

Perx: You might want to PM Khaled - he's been very busy lately, and I don't know how often he checks this board.
