I had heard 15w40 Mobil 1 from Sharktoberfest last year but have not had the time to try it.

Any thoughts?

5W40 or 15W50. The 5W40 has been discussed heavily by Doug Hillary, the resident oil expert. It is sold as Mobil Delvac 1 or Mobil 1 Truck & SUV. 15W50 Mobil 1 is more commonly used. Search for threads the Doug Hillary has posted in and you'll find a wealth of information.

I haven't really looked for it, but the only 15W40 oils I've seen in stores are conventional (dino) diesel oils like Mobil Delvac 1300.
