Good, cause no one in their right mind will give anything near that price. Sounds like a typical used car salesman pitch to me!

Interesting that he blurred out the background in one of the pictures. What's he trying to hide, the fact that he has other wrecked cars?!

I love the interior. Too bad they ran it on 10W30, I wonder what other mistreatment the engine got...

What difference does it really make? Once the oil gets a little warm, regardless of their weight they'll have pretty much the same viscosity. If you live in a moderate climate any type of engine oil will be just fine. I use diesel engine oil in all my other non 928 cars (one is a TDI but the other is gasoline).

Diesel oil (5W40 or 15W40) would actually be in the right viscosity range for your 928. Most meet or excede the specs Porsche states our engines need. 10W30 is too thin. Read some of Doug Hillary's oil threads.

Well, it is up to me to get it into the registry unless Chuck already has it. One way or another it will be saved

Shoot for $8900 I might be considering options if it were my S4

All it needs is some Ott fender flares, some new rear suspension pieces, and a new bumper cover. Hey Jim, you wouldn't happen to have access to any of that stuff, would you?

It probably needs more than that. There is a good chance some of the rear suspension mounting points have been bent too.

He's not trying to hide anything, look at his last picture on the eBay site.
He's an auto breaker who specializes in Porsche, used to be just outside Atlanta.

I've seen that in an avatar, too.

I wasn't implying that he was trying to hide something. I guess I just found it odd, since it appeared pretty obvious what was in the background AND the car up for sale was damaged, that the background was blurred. Didn't mean anything nefarious was going on, just an observation...
