Nicole, the only problem is getting the wire through without drilling a hole...........

I'd rather not drill, either!

Not to hijack the thread, but what do most people do for replacement of the rooftop antenna? Mine has a few cracks in it. Is the Porsche replacment part at about $100 the way to go, or is there another route?

That wouldn't be the problem on my 91 model - I have the standard roof antenna, so the hole is already there.

I think it would be cool if someone could figure out a way to put a radar/laser detector receiver up in a roof-top fin, so that we could have a very stealthy, permanently mounted detector option.

remember...sharks DO have fins
