Default S4 front spoiler question

My car came without a front spoiler. I'm going to buy one. Is there any other parts required (brackets, etc.) to mount the spoiler. I do have the 'hooks' on the bottom of the bumper cover. TIA.

There is a little "kit" of hardware you can pick up from 928 Specialists along with the spoiler. 928 Intl probably has the same thing.

There is also a rather expensive bracket thingy that may or may not be on the car.

Along those lines, the PET has 2 different spoilers and brackets listed <89 and 90+, I think. Is there really a difference? It was hard to tell on mine if the spoiler is actually being held by this bracket, or if the bracket is bent at all.

I got the kit from 928Intl, and it came with everything I needed except some of the washers weren't the right size for the 3 mounting points on the left and right sides of the spoiler. This caused me a little confusion at first, since the washers were too large and the screw wouldn't reach the car through the spoiler. Just got 6 smaller ones at the hardware store.

Is the front spoiler standard fitment on an S4? I've seen a few without them fitted.

While waiting for my new (to me) engine to arrive, i have pulled the rear spoiler and front spoiler and sanded both as smooth as a babys bum...on their way to the paint shop to end up metalic silver. I haven't seen a 928 with the front spoiler body colour so am lookiing forward to this. If i was handier with photoshop, i'd mock it up and see how it looks

All 87 > had a front lower "spoiler" it actually is more a front belly pan and also completes the grill enclosure to direct cooling air toward the radiator as well as connecting to the full engine louvered undertray below the engine for aerodynamic purposes..
