Finally done woth my MM project!
It's done. The new Anchor mounts are in and it's all buttoned back up. I'll say what evryone says after they are done. WOW, what a difference. Not a fun job, but not that bad. It would definately be easier if I had a lift. Oh well many others have done it on jackstands on their backs. Not bad for a total investment of $45.00 in parts. Now on to that trans leak!

I am getting pissed hearing all you guys doing this. Everytime I drive my car now I cringe around 3k because the vibration is getting more noticeable. I just dont have the equipment or the know how to tackle that job. I did do my Tacoma brakes today...The Porsches are much easier.

You don't really need a huge assortment of tools. Metric sockets and wrenches up to 19mm. I only used 10mm, 13mm, 17mm, 19mm. Some of the bolts are tight as hell. Fortunantly I have all of my air tools from when I wrenched for a living. Let me tell you I used my 1/2 and 3/4 impact guns for much of this project. Once you get the car in the air you are ready to get to it.

Perry, I'll bet with the Pirtle write up and a helper, plus this forum we could get you through it. It's a messy, filthy, laborous job, but not technically challenging. Some big bolts will need a 1/2" breaker and good sockets, but after that it's quite straightforward. The only other strange tool needed is a open blade hacksaw handle, and maybe a #3 drift to line up the upper cross member bolt holes.
The results, well, it's just a pleasure to rev it in all gears, to any RPM.
