My buddy just gave me a couple of almost new 40's? series flowmasters. Are these worth a damn? Hows the sound? Im gonna have RMB with them and what about no cats? Any experience with any of these combos?

2 chamber or 3.

I have one 3" in/3" out 2 chamber FM on my track shark. Gives it a deep "muscle" car sound - brutal under acceleration. I also have recieved many compliments on how good it sounds. If they are FREE - keep em.

Is your car an OB or an S4?

I had a flowmaster on my OB, and it sounded great.
I had to put a resonator tip on it to tone it down a little bit though...

Here are two movies so you can hear the sound:

Had a pair on mine along with a 3" cat-back system w/resonators. Amazing sound under accelleration but very hard to live with the "booming" around town at low speeds. If it's an everyday driver you may want to consider that. I removed mine and replaced with a 2.5" Magnaflow (Flowmasters were rotting away) and it is a bit quieter.
